For my first post, it's not an entirely happy one. Why do guys put ourselves through so much stuff, just for the affection of a girl. The affection that she may never even give. Let me specify the type of guy I’m talking about. I’m not talking about those guys that go around and play with girl’s feelings. I’m talking about the shy ones, the ones that when they go for a girl they put themselves out on the line and through that invite themselves to getting hurt. This pain then makes themselves close up and hide even more. So, what is it all for anyway? Why do we play the game? Why do girls test us, why can’t they be more direct? Yes, I know there are some out there that don’t play games, but those are few and far between. Sometimes I want to give up on love. There is no true love, no one person for everyone. It’s statistically impossible, with the amount of people that are born and die everyday. There is love, people who marry each other and live happily ever after, but that doesn’t mean they were slated to live with each other since birth. So I guess I’m just trying to figure it out, what the point of it all is. If it is for the continuation of our species and reproduction; that can be done without love, animals do it all the time, and what are we but advanced animals. If it is for some sort of emotional pleasure, studies I have shown that eating chocolate stimulates the pleasure sensor of the brain more than sharing an intimate kiss does. So, why the games, why the chase, someone please explain it to me? Because I know, even though I say I feel like giving up, the next time a girl catches my interest, I’m going to repeat this whole thing over again. I guess I’m a bit bitter but oh well, that’s life.
As a girl, I can tell you many guys do the same exact thing you're complaining about. They start out really sweet, talking to you, flirting with you, and then a week later, without warning, they ignore you and it's for no reason! I try to be direct, open, and honest. Even when I'm confused I tell the guy "Hey I'm really confused right now". Go back to my blog and re-read the post entitled "Give Love to Get Love?" It doesn't deal with how to understand women (Don't try, you'll only end up driving yourself mad) but maybe it'll help?
ReplyDeleteAs a side note, there are some animals that mate for life but do have 'someone on the side'.

Don't think that animal sexuality is as simple as an act of mating.
The truth is, there is no simple answer to love. It's about always changing your tactics, there is no set formula so get out of that scientific mentality. Once you do, you'll be a lot happier.
Good luck!
